Bunka no Hi (Culture Day) is a Japanese national holiday held annually in the beginning of November. It started in 1948 as part of post-war reconstruction efforts, to commemorate the announcement of the new Japanese Constitution, and to foster its ideals -  the love of peace and freedom – through art.

Workshops            1 - 3 p.m.

1 - 1:25 p.m.                           Aikido demonstration and workshop

1:30 - 1:55 p.m.                    Japanese Dance fundamentals workshop

2 - 2:25 p.m.                           Let’s YOSAKOI! (Japanese festival dance) workshop

2:30 - 2:55 p.m.                    Okinawan Taiko Eisa performance and workshop

Performance: Japanese Dance and Music            3:10 p.m.

Tickets:     Each workshop - $5 per person; $8 per family

                  Performance only - $10 per person; $15 per family

                    All the four workshops + Performance packet - $20 per person; $30 per family

*A family ticket admits the whole family with any number of family members
